Spiritual life is about living in the present, being presently aware and knowing where my awareness is at any one time. This is especially true when it comes to experiencing my connection with Nature. It's about being in the moment, taking that time, and also not reacting, responding or intra-acting solely on the limitations of my own human senses, but moving beyond this. Our consciousness is not dependant on the body, but can extend beyond the limits of the sensory world
Any spiritual path has to have a practical outworking. It has to inform my life, the way I live it and my own level of activism, however I may be led to express that. It's about everyday stuff, just as much as it is about hearing the voices of spirits, Goddesses and Gods.
I have a very real sense of walking in the footsteps of my ancestors, walking an ancient path, yet also being aware that what I am called to bring to others is new. It's of Now. This resonates very strongly with me. There's a breaking of the mould that has to take place. I can only bring this as I allow the energy of the Lord and Lady to continue it's transformational work as this comes through being who I truly am, free and liberated and in touch with my own will. This is going to anything but pain free, but it's also very exciting!
I want to walk in Spirit. I want to embrace both the Divine Feminine and Masculine. My years of spiritual journeying have bought me to a place free from conditioning and control. Free from false expectations and a false sense of duty. I have been released into a space where I can begin to embrace who I was meant to be before name and form and I cannot go back into conformity when the Lord and Lady have set me free.
Spiritual development brings personal liberation and does not create prisoners to fear. Neither is spiritual development a continual naval gazing exercise. Whilst it is true that one needs to discover ones true self, this is not where spiritual life stops. This is simply just the beginning of the journey.
